Mary Had a Guide!

34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” 39 A few days later Mary hurried to the hill country of Judea, to the town. 42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. 46 Mary responded,“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord! 47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! 56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then went back to her own home.

Luke 1:34-56

  • Have you been given a vision that seems impossible?
  • Have you ever wondered if that vision was given to someone else but they said,  “no” or just did not respond to initial promptings of God to act?
  • Have there been people in your life that you have gone to for confirmation and encouragement?
  • Are you a Guide to others around you, those who have a conviction to something huge and impactful but on the surface seems ridiculous or impossible?
Mary experienced an angel – in person – but, her greatest moment of conviction and joy was after being confirmed by some she trusted.
There are many people who God has inspired a great idea or vision into but no one ever took them serious or encouraged them to act. {Gary Barell (a purpose-driven leader, the founder of Garmin, went to his boss several times at Allied Signal with the “Garmin” concept but was never taken seriously.}
As you move forward on your journey, be on the look out for those who need your Guidance to do something that just might change the world.

Merry Christmas!
